Tomorrow is Saturday is an intimate portrait of the life and work of Irish collage artist Sean Hillen. Diagnosed late in life with Aspergers, Hillen has reached a point in his career where he finds it almost impossible to work. Trapped in a tiny terraced house, full to the brim with junk, unfinished art and boxes of memories, Sean embarks on a journey to declutter and make sense of his life as he waits the arrival of his beloved Amy – an American woman with whom he communicates daily but has never met.
Please see the note from Sean Hillen below the video in appreciation of Gillian Marsh and her team and crew who own all copyrights. So be nice and appreciate this showing while it’s still on YouTube, it will probably be taken down soon to protect the copyrights and reimbursements of the creators.

From Sean Hillen on Istagram – AMERICAN & FRIENDS ABROAD! I know you as we all do have plenty to think about but I just discovered that ‘Tomorrow is Saturday’ has appeared on a YouTube documentary channel BingeworthyDocumentaries ( though geo-locked out of some European countries, presumably as it’s on Netflix Europe with 1/4m views) but appears viewable for free in the U.S.!
It also seems to be viewable in Spain so that’s confusing. I don’t know yet if this is an official release by the licensing company or a copyright infringement that will be shut down so it might be good to go look if you’re interested, and please share the link and tell your friends. It was ‘Factual Programme of the Year’ at the Royal TV Society Awards and also won the ‘Audience Award’ at the IFI Documentary Festival (I can say now, I’ve kind of ‘got over’ being in it and can see why people say it’s great)!
It’s a €250k feature-length work by a team of the most talented professionals in Ireland, originally made for prime-time TV, even with a ‘happy ending’…
I hope you enjoy; and I’d love to know what countries it’s viewable, or not, in. I don’t think I can post a live link but you can find it!
